My hiking buddy had a pair of cirque pants for quite a while, and raved about them often. So eventually got a pair myself, and I could not be happier! These are great pants for snow and light rain. The Outdoor Research's Cirque Pants are durable, light weight outdoor pants that are good looking enough to go out for a beer after your hike. The soft-shell pants are perfect for Alaska's wet alpine environments. The pants are wind-and weather-resistant, but not water-proof.
