Great pants!
My hiking buddy had a pair of cirque pants for quite a while, and raved about them often. So eventually got a pair myself, and I could not be happier! These are great pants for snow and light rain. They breathe well, fit well, even when making awkward movements on the trail or the wall, and they perform wonderfully. I also love the boot lace hook feature! Almost eliminates the need for a gator, however my hiking partner's lace hook tore off during a strenuous day. (Always room for improvement)
But overall a great buy for anybody looking for a softshell pant.

The Outdoor Research's Cirque Pants are durable, light weight outdoor pants that are good looking enough to go out for a beer after your hike. The soft-shell pants are perfect for Alaska's wet alpine environments. The pants are wind-and weather-resistant, but not water-proof. In a heavy rain you will get wet legs and need waterproof over-pants. But for hiking and alpine climbing, they are perfect. The regular sizing was a bit just a bit short for my 6'-4", 190 lbs build, but still great overall with boots on. I would recommend them to a friend for the price.
