This has become my everyday winter jacket here in the Pacific Northwest. Very warm and fits me nicely (not too tight as with other midlayers I've tried). I bought a Large (I'm 5'9" and 160). I wore this out snowshoeing a couple times and it does a great job - insulates and breathes as advertised.

I got this jacket when it was on sale for $188.34 to replace my stolen TNF Thermoball hoodie, which was a size small. I ordered a size small thinking it would be the same fit. While I could zip up the jacket, it was a relatively tight fit so I exchanged it for a medium and now it fits perfectly. I love the two way zipper. Questions & Answers for Outdoor Research Uberlayer Hooded Jacket - Mens
There are quite a few real differences. Uber is hooded(that can go over helmets, the other is not. Uber has Polartech Alpha, arguably the most breathable fabric available. Uber has two zipper as well as low profile cuffs. And the pocket angles and layout are different. Hope that helps!
