Great for spring/summer showers. Very lightweight, stuffs into its own pocket. Its not very breathable, so you may sweat a bit during heavy activity. Fit is good, I'm 6'1 200lbs with a 44" chest and the large fit me well while still having some room for layering. Sleeves are long with velcro cuffs to keep you covered with full range of motion for riding a bike or other activity... Read more

Works great as a jacket but I thought it was a bit tighter than I expected especially in the arms. Lenght and girth were ok. I'm 6' and 200 lb. I would reccomend it

I’ve only had it a few weeks, but I’ve used it lightly (just walking around town) in a number of spring showers and storms in Vermont, and it’s been great. Nice and light, completely waterproof.
While I haven't used the jacket for its purposes yet, from the feel of it I can tell it is just what I'm looking for. Having owned rain jackets made my Marmot, REI, and Mountain Hardwear, I like the feel of this one the most. I just received this jacket and can't believe the quality for the price. It is a great looking, functional and reasonably priced jacket made by a company that sees the big picture. I highly recommend it as a day to day rain jacket, for travel when you might run into bad weather and anything else you might need a highly water and windproof packable jacket for.

Bought this as a replacement for a cheaper quality rain jacket for hiking and backpacking trips. It's light and comfortable and isn't clammy. The fit is excellent. I'm 6'1" and weigh 200 lbs and a large is perfect, with enough room to layer a light fleece underneath. Haven't had a chance to wear it in a big downpour, but cant wait to use it on the JMT this summer.
Questions & Answers for Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Mens
I would go with a size Large, and stick with European brands like Montane, Mammut. There arm length is usually longer than most American brands. Thanks.
