Altra shoes run a little smaller than other brands such as Merrell and Salomon. You may want to go with a half size larger. Altra shoes have a wider toe box that provide for a natural fit. However, these shoes are Zero Drop which means your heel and toes are the same distance off the ground. It is highly recommended to start with easier runs and rotate your Zero Drop footwear with your old shoes for the first few weeks or you could get injured/ These are not as cushioned as traditional running shoes.
