I have only used these shoes 5 times, but I am in love with them. I had tried a previous version, but got them too big. I have been wearing the minimalist type shoe for ~5 years now and these are the perfect combo of minimalist with some cushion. A friend suggested a zero drop running shoe, and it has made a big difference as a beginning runner. I love these shoes. I could wear them constantly they are so comfortable. The large toe box is a big plus for me as I have bunions.
This is the MOST comfortable pair of barefoot shoes I've tried (it's my fourth pair between 5fingers, merrell trail, and vivobarefoot). I like to be close to zero drop, which these are, but they also add some cushioning, which is NOT a bad thing even though many barefoot purists might suggest that it is. Altra shoes run a little smaller than other brands such as Merrell and Salomon. You may want to go with a half size larger. Altra shoes have a wider toe box that provide for a natural fit.
