will this kit work with the Q-core pad?

Yes. It will work with the Q-core pad. The Cyclone chair kit works with 60", 66", 72" or 78" length pads in mummy or rectangular shapes.

Could I use a 72 inch therma rest sol lite or any folding type of pad with this? What is the minimum length of a Sol lite that I can use (I can cut mine down)? How about using a Klymit Stat 5?

The Z-lite should work just fine with this chair kit, although you'll want to be aware that the folds of this pad may need to be doubled over in order to fit. The Static V would work just fine.
