are these tents factory seconds ?

Hi, The Big Agnes website says this tent is freestanding, but a few of the reviews say it isn't. Is it freestanding or not?

It honestly is what the market calls semi-freestanding. It will stand by itself thus "free-standing". But, to maximize the room at the foot of the tent, you will need to stake out the tent(as well as for the fly and vestibule).
