could you post the dimensions and are they made of waterproof material?

The dimensions are 4 x 6 x 13 in. The pockets are not waterproof. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

ok, so if the listed price is for a single bag, is the capacity of a single bag 10L? if no, what is the capacity of a single bag??? I am planning to use these external pockets with The North Face Hot Shot which has compression straps, would it work???

Yes these are sold as a pair and each hold about 10 liters. These are compatible with any straps and can be attached using the daisy chain.

So, yes, I'm an equipment moron. How exactly do these attach? Do I pass the side compression straps through both daisy chain loops on the External Pocket? What are the other daisy chain loops used for? Thanks!

Yes, you would run the compression straps of your pack through the loops on the External Pocket. There are plenty of them so you can get it right where you want it, or for varying models of packs with straps in different spots. Hope that helps.

So, if these are sold as a pair, is each one .4 oz ? I'm looking for a SUPER light weight (less than .4 oz, really) sack that I can attach to the across the chest strap of my Deuter backpack to hold my iPhone 7+ for easy camera access. The phone is damnably big: 6.5x3.25"
