Can this be used for general trad/sport climbing? Would it be ok to get this for a starting climber?

A
Answered by Desi, member, from AB, Canada, on December 24, 2013

This rope should not be used for sport climbing or trad climbing unless you are top-roping, even then I would use a dynamic rope. The canyon static line rope should be using for rappelling, canyoneering, and top-rope. Here is a link to our dynamic ropes; http://www.campsaver.com/climbing/ropes-runners-slings/ropes
