I’m confused by the picture and description. Are the cutouts complete voids? If so, it looks like there’d be no support in the waist and hip area. — 1 Answer

The cut-outs are voids. This pad is a torso length pad, so the bottom of what you are seeing would be for your hips. This is meant for back sleeping. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
