does this come in individual bags or is it a bulk can?

Once the can is opened, how long will it last? Can I take a few cups of it on my camping trip and freeze the rest in a vacuum bag till the next time?

Number 10 cans are designed to last for 25 years or so unopened. Once you open them and oxygen is re-introduced, the shelf life diminishes significantly. Like other dry foods in the pantry, it would last maybe 2 weeks on the shelf opened. Frozen would definitely buy you more time.
