Specifications say footprint - YES that should mean it is included, correct?

No, it does not come with the footprint. What that means is that there is a footprint available with this tent.

I see that the rain fly design, for ventilation reasons, doesn't cover the bottom third of the head of the tent. Any issues with the rain?

Unless you are in a crazy rain storm where rain is coming upwards into the tent, it will not be a problem. Nemo eliminates the rain fly by extending the bath tub floor up further. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

I see that Mikey M has asked this already; does purchase include a free footprint? And is that free footprint Nemo's?
