NEMO Equipment Hornet 2P Tent - 2 Person, 3 Season
Finally getting around to writing a review. I've used the NEMO Hornet for about 15 overnights, including 7 nights in Yosemite. Awesome, as light weight, simple to set up and roomy. I recently purchased a Lightheart Solo tent, thought I would save weight, but the NEMO is the same weight, and you can ...

Tight for a two person tent. Easy set up. Tent fly would work better if it came all the way to the bottom at the head area like it does around the rest of the tent. During a good downpour water tends to build up underneath because of this.

Great tent! Super light and perfect for one person. Pretty tight for two but still works. Have used it on a few hunts in the Ruby Mountains in Nevada where weight matters. Love the stuff sack’s versatility.
Pros:
Lightweight
Cons:
Durability?
Would recommend: Yes

Based on the reviews I had read regarding the delivery of the products from Camp saver I was scared but I took a leap of faith and ordered the tent. The tent arrived on time and within a week. I am glad I ordered it from camp saver. I havent used it yet but it looks good and have not found any damage. Will give another review when I use it.

Before buying this tent I had only owned dome style tents. It takes a little getting used to but for the weight and the space it takes up in my pack this tent can't be beat. I absolutely love this tent.
Pros:
Light weight
packs down small
Cons:
No cons
Best Used for:
Back packing

I'm a regular backpacker eyeing a thru hike and needed lighter weight gear. I evaluated the hornet 2p vs. the Big Agnes ultra light options and chose the hornet due to to the dual vestibules. I've only had limited use but here's my initial feedback. The tent is super light, easy to setup and the green color is more natural than some of the online pictures that made it look fluorescent. I got the 2p vs the 1p even though I'm typically a solo hiker because it weights very little more than the 1p and has more space for my backpack and spreading out. The downsides is that its not freestanding (of course I knew this before purchasing), and I wish the footprint was more integrated with the poles and tent by way of grommets/connections but I suppose I can tweak that on my own. I'm happy with the purchase and I think it's a good value for an ultralight tent.

It was definitely light, which was great for the backpacking trips we are doing. It is tight, as I suppose it should be. The zippers get a bit uncomfortable with the velcro. I think it's a matter of getting used to it.
