Potable Aqua tablets that remain unopened, and are maintained under controlled temperatures between 60 and 86 °F (15 to 30 °C), will remain effective up to four years. Exposure to things such as heat, humidity, moisture, and air will reduce the tablets effectiveness. They recommend that an opened bottle not be kept for more than one year and that the cap is kept tightly sealed.
