New Favorite Socks

Written on May 25, 2017

I absolutely love these socks. I took them on an intense backpacking trip, and I had never tried them on before the trip. They are the only socks I took for the 2 week trip. They were perfect! They provided cushion in just the right places, I got no blisters, and my feet didn't get hot at all in them. They were so comfortable, and I would recommend everyone buys them. The best hiking socks.

Essential

I never go camping without my Pocket Bellows Fire Stoker. It has saved my fire many times. Epiphany Outdoor really nailed it with this product. I have given it to many friends as a small gift, because whenever I camp with any of them, they are asking where I got this stoker!

Best Backpacking Boots

Written on May 19, 2017

I got these boots to take with me on a backpacking trip in Patagonia. I didn't have time to break in the boots at all, so I was really nervous. I'm pleased to say that I didn't get a single blister from these boots! I wore them for over 2 weeks straight, while carrying a 45 lb pack. All the rest of the travel companions had to hike in their sandals, etc, because of severe blisters. Not only did I not get a blister, but my feet stayed completely dry AND not sweaty. I was worried the Gortex would make wearing these uncomfortable with sweaty feet, but it wasn't an issue all. Lastly, I love the look of these. I got a lot of compliments on them. I would recommend these boots to everyone!

Must Have

I took this pack with me on a trip down to Patagonia, where the weather is unpredictable. I used it all day every day for a few weeks, and I absolutely loved it! The pack held up in all sorts of weather and conditions with no tears in the fabric, despite my heavy use of the bag. All my stuff stayed dry, it was super lightweight (which was perfect for the days I was backpacking), and having it pack into its own stuff sack is super convenient. The front pouch with easy access was really handy, since I was getting in and out of it a lot. Lastly, I think this bag has a nice look to it (better than the picture makes it look). By the end of the trip, all my travel companions were wanting a Matador Backpack. I honestly would recommend it to everyone!
