Is this pump stuff sack any different in design from the pump stuff sack one that comes included with a NeoAir XTherm sleep pad. That one is gray and seem pretty light weight, is this an improved version or just the same thing sold separate?

At 40 liters, this pump stuff sack is much larger (with the ability to hold air of course). The stuff sacks included with the pad are much smaller and do not hold air the same way.

If i buy a NeoAir Xlite "large" size mattress, Can i replace the original packing sack with this one, i.e., can larger NeoAir Xlite still fit in this sack?

Yes, you could, although the Pump Stuff Sack is much larger (40 liters).

does this item include the fitting that goes over the air mattress valve?

This pump sack is compatible with your NeoAir series sleeping pad if that is the question. You will not have to buy anything additionally in order to pump up the pad.
