What is the advantage of the upper piece. How does the suspension of the cookware improve performance.

Both the lower and the upper block wind of course, but the lower works specifically to improve airflow (drawing warm air towards the pot) and provide stability on difficult terrain. You can view the principle at minute 1:00 of this product video: http://vimeo.com/50641617

What's the difference between the 25 and 27 windshield lower and upper pieces? e.g. is the 25 lower compatible with a 27 upper? Are there differences in optimal pot sizes for 25 and 27 systems?
