Quick-drying and windproof, the Altus Jacket is made with a lightweight Pertex® Quantum outer, and synthetic Cirrus™ insulation which lofts like down with all the warmth with the wet weather performance of synthetics. A YKK® VISLON® front zip with insulated baffle and elasticated cuffs help keep heat in, while a zipped internal security pocket provides storage for essentials. Lightweight and packable, there are two zipped handwarmer pockets, with the left side doubling as an integrated stuff sack which can be clipped to a harness or backpack.

Worn under a protective shell when conditions worsen, the Altus Jacket is an ideal layering piece in cold damp conditions when the weather is changeable.

nice and puffy, well made, but armpit openings too tight

I'm 5'11"" 157 Lbs. Very puffy jacket, I bet it would be very warm indeed! But, the armpit openings rode too high up my armpits and made the jacket feel too tight, uncomfortable. This was even with just a cotton t-shirt underneath. So, there's no way it would work with a long underwear top and mid-weight fleece. Gonna return it. Nice cut and weight

I bought this for my husband and he is very happy with it! Sizing was as expected and the fit is comfortable without being bulky Great lightweight material but very warm. Ink color was lighter than expected but nice.

Warm & Light

I was looking for a simple synthetic puffer without a hood for those rare dry Oregon winter days. The Altus fits the bill. It's warm, light, looks great, and fits me perfectly. I'm 5'10", 175lbs with an athletic build and ordered a medium. Love it.
