I must admit Rab is a relatively unfamiliar brand for me. Were it not for a glowing review by the folks at outdoor gear lab I might not have tried this coat out. Really pleased with the construction and fit of this jacket. Had an old Rab Xenon X that was getting a little shredded from use. Saw this and at the price decided to give it a shot and it basically is the same as my old xenon just with the Pertex quantum fabric which is great. This Rab Endurance X is a fantastic alternative to the Rab Xenon X with a much better price. They're very similar: they both have Primaloft insulation and a Pertex shell*, the ability to pack into a chest pocket with a clip for attaching it, a waist hem for cinching, a stretchy hood, and insulated hand pockets. I love the hoodie. Fits very well around chest, trunk and waist, I thought the sleeves could be 1/2 inch shorter, maybe that was by design. PlumaFill does not disappoint and I can say it keeps me toasty. I have not noticed any clumping or shifting of material. It can get bit windy on the Central Coast and this hoodie keeps me protected from the elements.

Fit is great. Medium size fits me well (5'9" about 160). I have a small piling spot that popped up this week by the chest pocket. Should able to patch easily but it def takes a start away.
Green color is awesome and I love Rab so it was kind of a no-brainer when a sale put it at about $90.

If you are looking for a primaloft synthetic jacket, this is a nice one. However, it is not a down jacket as the Q&A states. I'm returning mine. I can't fault the jacket. So, one Star for the ad, five stars for the jacket.
