Most Helpful Negative Review Synthetic Jacket
If you are looking for a primaloft synthetic jacket, this is a nice one. However, it is not a down jacket as the Q&A states. I'm returning mine. I can't fault the jacket. So, one Star for the ad, five stars for the jacket.

lightweight quality jacket

I liked the jacket. I would give her 5 stars, but there is one caveat. If you are 185+ cm tall, size L will be short. The rest of the jacket is very good. Lightweight, warm, especially for its low weight. High-quality branded insulation. Water-repellent impregnation. Generally recommend if you are not very tall.

It's the best outer.

It's very cheap. However, it has quality beyond price. It is thin but very warm, and packing is very easy. It's great to wear while hiking, and keeps your body warm even during rest. This is a highly recommended outfit.

The thickness is satisfactory and the weight is moderately light. It must be used in winter. However, it seems that there is nothing to do about the cotton sticking out. Other than that, I like everything. Unfortunately, can we re-release the RAB Strada Hoodie??

RAB Does it Again!

The spec sheet is incredibly similar to the original RAB Xenon X jacket, with the same Primaloft Gold insulation and Quantum outer fabric though this time it gets the Endurance coating, an upgrade in my opinion. It’s not a one for one comparison (see below) but this version is the ultimate jacket in my opinion - tough enough to be an outer layer but sleek and packable like a mid layer. * Differences from Xenon X * 1) Chest pocket is on the outside instead of the inside 2) Primaloft logo on the hip, no Pertex logo 3) No two-way zipper 4) Hem not quite as long as I remember the Xenon X being. Easier to layer as a result 5) Endurance treatment to the fabric means it is flat/matte and not shiny/trash bag. Matte = A plus for me but maybe not some folks. I’m 5 foot 10, 195 pounds and the large works great for me as midlayer and outer layer. XL worked ok as outerwear bivvy only.

i like so far

I have worn the coat once. It's not winter here yet. The fit is great and spot on. Im hoping it's water proof. It said it was, we will see. Light weight and not bulky. I love it so far but will see when it gets cold.

Rab Rocks the House

Rab is a British climbing and outdoor company that has been a best kept secret, unfortunately, in the U.S. for regular outdoor folks. The more hard core types have known about em for years. I’m a “normal,” I just hike modestly, snowshoe and I fly fish year round. I’ve got a ton of Rab, because I think it’s best in class for the specific activities I do. This jacket is an upgraded (better DWR coating, more durable outer fabricversion of Rab’s Xenon X - the jacket that crushed Outdoor Gear Lab’s rating for several years in a row. Go to OGL and check it out - they are the Consumer Reports of outdoor raters and they can give you a more thorough evaluation than I can. This garment runs a bit slim,if you want to layer much under it, but it does everything I require very, very well.
Pros:
  • Warm and Comfy
  • Warm and comfortable
  • warm, light, durable
Cons:
  • Runs slim, zipper is small and on the opposite side

Great for the money

As far as I can tell it's the exact same as an older version of the xenon x, but with the more waterproof pertex endurance fabric. The fit is a bit shorter and more boxy than I expected from Rab, but otherwise a great jacket.
