First off, buy up one size. I wear a men's large in everything I own, but I did research on this one and followed what others said and bought a size up...definitely the way to go here. This jacket is all about keeping the weight down and it totally succeeds in that. You literally can barely feel that you're wearing it! It's crazy really.

Very slim fit and stretchable. Highly breathable and feel really comfortable and non-bulky when backpacking. I’m 5’10 with waist 32 and wearing M.There’s no space for me to add any mid layers. It’s design for use on activity.

In Utah, I rarely need a rain shell. IF it's not raining, most rain shells are crinkly, loud and clammy. Therefore, I don't have a nice rain shell. This is different. I just got this jacket just in time for bike commuting to work during the rainy season. I have been really impressed that it is not only very waterproof & breathable but comfortable as well. The medium measured at 28 inches on the zipper and laid flat, the hem across was 19 inches(So double this number, it does have some stretch to it). Large measured at 29 inches for the zipper and 21 inches across the bottom hem. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
