I wanted a waterproof lightweight shell jacket for backpacking, bad weather hiking, maybe even mountain biking in bad weather. This jacket is more breathable than the Newton Jacket that I previously own, which is very suitable for warmer weather. I haven't tried wearing it in the rain yet, but I really like it already. If i'm correct, Rab uses the DVStorm eVent fabric this time, which has the best breathablity.
