Had to move on from an older softshell. This coat is thicker and rigid but is great when you are out on colder days. The fit is a bit tight in the shoulder/armpit area and I am not too muscular in that area. However the coat, cuff and collar length is a huge benefit to keep the heat in. Rab does have more of a European cut to thier coats but I have found they are quite durable ... Read more

I decided to switch to a soft-shell based system for skiing this year and after some research settled on the Rab Upslope. Coming from the UK I've got Rab gear that's over a 10 years old and still going strong so finding a snow-sports oriented soft-shell from Rab was perfect.
