Reviews & Ratings for Adidas Terrex Fast X Hiking Shoe - Mens

Took these onto a 6 mile hike to break them in and they felt fairly comfortable right out of the box. Was a bit disappointed that Adidas took out the quick lace system that they had in previous iterations of this product, but also a lot of reports of them breaking anyways. The shoes themselves have great grip but I was on a pretty dry trail so haven't gotten to try that out. My left shoe did seem to have a squeaky/squishy noise when I walked inside on a wooden floor. Not sure what's causing that but maybe something that will go away after break in. Sole is very supportive and a very burly, protective shoe for the weight.

only reason not 5 stars is because they are lace ups. I had the ones with the quick zip device and loved not having to tie my shoes. Really recommend buying the ones without the laces for those who are too lazy to tie their shoes

After a few days breaking them in, they have been some of the most comfortable shoes on trails. Good traction on snow, mud and rocks. So far really impressed. If they last a long time, I would definitely buy again.

I wore this shoe most of the Fall and into the Spring. It has worn extremely well and been very supportive for how light it is. I will definitely buy another pair, if this one ever wears out.
I think it just won Outside Magazine's 2013 Gear of the Year!!
