The SOL Escape Lite knows exactly what it's made for. It's an insurance plan for unplanned bivys or an extremely lightweight and durable bivy solution for drier climates.

so light and so easy

You want to be prepared for anything when you go into the backcountry whether you're on a 2 hr tour off the road or a 25 day expedition days from help. This bivvy is so light and packs up so small, you can put it in your bag and leave it there... and forget about it... until you need it. There is no reason not to have one!
