I love the Alite Monarch chair,it is the chair for me personally,I much prefer the two leg design over the standard four leg,I pretty much take it with me everywhere on my bike in my car, hiking camping or bike touring,it is standard must have gear for me, I love it.
Pros:
- Weight, size, price, convenience, comfort

This is a great little chair. It sets up easily, is fairly lightweight, and offers surprising comfort. Only cons I noticed are that it must be perpendicular to any slopes and it is rather low to the ground so it is very discouraging from getting up after in it. So when tending a campfire, I find myself sitting longer than I probably should before stoking the fire or helping the group

Great chair for kayak touring. Packs up light and tight, comfortable on any terrain! A great addition to the gear load on a long trip.

The chair is comfortable enough that it is worth carrying the extra weight. Spent 3 days on a backpacking trip and was so glad to have a comfortable place to sit! I did fall out once while trying to balance and cook. Overall though, fairly easy to balance. Chair quality of materials is definitely top notch and should last many years.

I bought this chair to bring along on day hikes. My husband and I do a lot of hiking and we especially like to go to spots where my husband can do some backcountry fly fishing. I like to hang out and do some knitting while he is fishing but sitting on logs or rocks for a few hours is uncomfortable so I bought this chair and it is fantastic! It is very lightweight and takes up very little room in my day pack. It takes about 30 seconds or less to set up. Once set up it is easy to pick up and move without folding it back up. It is super comfortable even for someone like me with a bad back. I have used it almost everyday since I received it and am very glad I bought it. Also, the customer service at Campsaver is great and my chair arrived in 2 days.

The Alite Monarch is simply the best chair for backpacking. I have used mine for two years now in the High Uintas and recently purchased one for my wife. After a day of hiking everyone sitting on the ground, a log, or a rock is very jealous of my chair. If you can carry just one luxury item in your backpack, this should be it.
