Variety, variety, variety! Hiking a couple thousand miles? Pineapple Orange Chicken is a great meal to add to your menu. The 720 Calories helps too! It's a stocking item in my home backcountry stores inventory. No regrets.

My wife and I tried this meal while section hiking the AT in the Smokey Mts during the last week of March. After a long day of hiking through snow and ice we were looking forward to a tasty hot meal but we were very disappointed in this meal. First, the absorbing packet was missing from the package after several minutes of searching, even dumping the contents into another container. We went ahead and prepared the meal and tried to eat it but the lack of taste and the dry film it left in our mouths was unacceptable. I have no plans to try Alpine Aire again.
