Update from after the JMT trek. After training I discovered that I needed to go up one 1/2 size to 8.5 men’s as my toes were hitting on the descents. Make sure you have 3/4” between the end of your toes to the shoe. I hiked about 10-12 miles a day totalling 130 miles and 7 passes on the JMT. These Boots were warm, water proof and very comfortable. No blisters, no other pain. I definitely plan to use them again for my next Sierra trip.
