Most Helpful Negative Review Great idea, but needs improvements
This Olympus 1.5 is a a great concept - max cushioning in a zero drop shoe with wide toe box. I've used Hoka's for a couple years before trying these, and love the extra cushioning. The foam in these is a bit firmer, which I prefer, and my hope is that it last longer too. The zero-drop feels natural, and the rocker in the toe helps forward movement. But the 1.5's are still in need of some improvements. Firstly, though Altra deepened the outsole traction in this generation, they really need to scrap it altogether and give this shoe a still deeper, more aggressively lugged outsole. Secondly,...

I love these shoes!

I have bad problems with pain in my metatarsal area on my feet and hammertoes. I have tried tgem all... nike, asics, brooks, new balance and nany others but the ALTRA Olympus 1.5 are the absolute best! The lower heel and wider toe box are perfect for my foot problems. I highly recommend these if you are looking for maximum cushion and comfort.
