Erin R.'s Review of Altra Arrows Superior 3.5 - Women's
This is the third iteration of the Superior I've gotten from Altra. I absolutely loved everything about the 2.5, didn't love the 3.0, but love the 3.5. The 3.5 has the comfy foot-shaped box, light cushion, and more durable tread than the 3 or 3.5. I prefer this shoe for backpacking over almost all boots (however, my pack rarely exceeds 40lbs.) because it's such a weight saver, has awesome traction, and is very comfortable for days on end. I also love this shoe for steep ascents.
These shoes tend to show wear a bit faster than some other brands I've tried, but I think the comfort, fit, and zero drop make up for that.
Pros:
COMFORT
tread
wide toebox
Gaiter loop
Cons:
Wear out in 200-300 Miles
Best Used for:
Backpacking
HIKING
Trail running
everyday use
Would Recommend:
Yes
