Solid update - Altra Arrows Timp 2 Trailrunning Shoes - Men's

Based on other reviews, I was concerned about the fit (being too snug), so I tried it on in a sticks and bricks store and at first they did feel a little tight but I purchased them anyway, through Campsaver, and am glad I did. After a day of wearing, the material has loosened up somewhat. I think they are, as advertised with the update, trimmed down some, but the fit is great. No more mudflap, and the uppers are simplified. Outstanding shoe. There are other nice things that this update provides. Suffice to say, Ive given up (for now) on Lone Peaks and will be staying with these for the entirety of my upcoming thru-hike of the PCT starting next month. I'd only request that Altra provide lighter colors - ones that are geared more toward us desert rats
