I love these pants. I wore them in a rainstorm and when I got back in the house, I forgot to change out of them because they were ALREADY totally dry – no raindrops will adhere to these pants. I would say they're true to size, but if you're between sizes, consider sizing up. I got both an 8 and a 10. The 8s would be perfect if I didn't have a mom gut (y'all moms feel me) but they're still manageable for activity. The 10s feel better if I'm sitting.

I loved these pants from the moment I first tried them on! They fit really nicely and the cut is smooth and flattering. The material seems it will last a through a lot of backcountry use. The manufacturer claims the material is water-repellent but that is true only when the pants are new. I wouldn't really recommend them for winter sports (not waterproof, not warm enough) but they are absolute no.1 for mountaineeringa and backpacking.

Another beautifully designed pair of Arc’teryx pants. I bought these to try for an upcoming trekking trip where I will be wearing the same clothes for a long period of time, so I want to like them! These are the heaviest weight Arc’teryx pants I’ve tried. They should be great for protection from rough terrain, as well as offering a little extra warmth at higher altitudes. I like the lace clip and cinch cord at the hem for a built in gator, though since I’m between a regular and tall I hope the Regular length will work. These are hefty, yet somehow slimming, something truly unique to Arcteryx. I love the outdoors but I also love beautiful well-fitting and flattering clothing. Arc’teryx manages to make superior technical clothing that fits and flatters. Yes they are pricey, but better one pair of these than two that are just okay. Also, the lightweight materials in many of their pants is so comfortable that you almost forget you are wearing them (Sabria and Solitas). Because they are so expensive, I often end up purchasing a color that isn’t my first choice, but I have grown to like these second choice colors over time.
Pros:
Lightweight
rugged
great features
Flattering
slimming
Cons:
I have to put them to the test!
Best Used for:
Trekking, hiking, rough terrain
