Better than an r1 - Arc'teryx Konseal Hoody - Men's

Wow, this is amazing to write, but Arteryx version of the R1 is better than the OG. The gridded fleece pattern is the same tight mesh that other arteryx fleeces use so it’s not a soft feeling as the larger gridded fleeces (like the R1) but the thumb holes and hand cover are a better fit and finish. They give a complete fingerless glove coverage. The hood and built in balaclava are a great fit on my head and a better feel than the Zip it to your nose method of the R1. Lastly the hood nests really well under another hood. It took many years but the R1 isn’t king of my mid layers anymore
