I purchased these pants for hiking, travel, and walking. I really like the fit and feel. As other reviews have noted you do have to unbuckle and unzip when nature calls due to the short zipper length. Not a big deal really but just something to be aware of. What has been a huge pleasant surprise is how well they function in winter. In temperatures in the low thirties with heavy winds after a little bit of walking they are pleasantly warm. I haven’t tested them at lower temps yet. I also don’t know how they would be if one was standing still. I had contemplated getting one of the lightly insulated pairs, but for urban winter use these are more than adequate. If I were using in the mountains, with long underwear they would probably be pretty good as well (unless just sitting around...). Definitely recommend these if you are looking for three season hiking, travel, urban use. They are slim but a little forgiving. Definitely not a baggy or loose fitting pant. Not form fitting as in tight, but they do follow your form if that makes sense. I like them and would buy again.

This Palisade pants is really light, hardwearing Which allow freedom of Movement during hiking. This pant meant to built for extended trips across demanding terrain. Its nylon blend geared for warm weather hiking and trekking. It also provide sun protection, dries quickly, and has stretch in performance.
Its so comfortable that I usually wear it at home, go shopping with my wife and she even ask me why I put that on for a couple of days withoutout washing.

Quick drying and comfort!This item is lightweight and breathable.But it also inconvenient when I want to put something into the pocket on my right side,the two zipper seem too close nearby,and it makes a bit problem when I wearing it.

Choose these pants due to zippers and navy blue color. I get worried about things failing out of my pockets and this won't happen to me. Zippers are barely noticeable. Everywhere I seem to see black and gray pants. These are navy and replace the jeans have worn so many years of my life and look nicer.

Pants have worked well for travel (Williamsburg, Manhattan and Netherlands) as well as hiking. Well made, outstanding fit, and stylish. Highly recommended. (P.S. Lots of zippered pockets come in handy when traveling.)

My 5th pair of Palisade Pants - Lost weight and refreshed with all three colors. Casual Day at work to multi-day hikes, best pants ever. Dry quickly, take abuse off-trail and bush whacking, range of motion awesome.

Nice pants but the inseam measurements are on the short side. I ordered my usual size and as I tried them on, my girlfriend asked my why i bought capri's...

I am 6' 0" weigh 165 with a 32" waist and these pants fit very well. They appear well made and I think they will be good pants for my outdoor activities: climbing, hiking and sailing.
