Perfect fit, but hoping for additional length options next year

by Joshua C., Written on March 27, 2017
Perfect fit - classic Arc'teryx medium cut (trim, pure 32" waist). But, at 6'1", the cuffs barely make it over the first buckle on my alpine ski boots. The gusset in the cuff is a brilliant addition, though. Suspenders remove easily. Arc'teryx's first year making them - hoping for additional length options next season!

Nice pants, but...

by Russell A., Written on March 22, 2016
Skied the Tetons and Colorado backcountry in these pants. I am 5'8", 155 lbs, with 32" waist. Size mediums fit me - barely. Would not want to wear a medium if I was any larger. This is my first Arcteryx item; the quality seems worth the price but I would make some changes to these pants. For instance, the pant leg bottoms barely fit over my Dynafit TLT6 boots when in walk mode. The interior gussets are one piece which saves a little weight, but I would prefer a Velcro closure on the sides to get them on and off a bit easier. Side vents zip easily and are appreciated. The belt is a nonessential item as I prefer using the suspenders, and when tightly cinching a ski pack waist belt the pant belt comes undone anyway. A slightly higher back in the waist would do a better job of keeping wind out when bending over to adjust boot buckles. Thigh pockets are ok if you don't mind having items placed in them riding over your quads. Finally, the claimed 32" inseam seems a bit optimistic. I'm not a tall guy and I wouldn't want them any shorter. The DO keep the wind off. Haven't worn them in a wet snow, yet.
