I have owned many down jackets over the years, but this is the first time I have tried one with a hood. I love it as a true top layer jacket and the hood is so cozy I find myself pulling it up to enjoy the quietness and warmth more than I ever pull up a hood on a rain jacket or parka for example. Because of the down there is not the over heating issue, just super cozy factor. The entire jacket is well built, super warm, good stitching, good pockets and all in all an outstanding piece of gear. Very Happy!
