Most Helpful Positive Review Quality bit of kit
Another home run from Arcteryx! I love their fit and finish and the Thorium AR is no different. I have found that it is 95% windproof and warm to 20F plus wind as a stand alone jacket. The Thorium plus my Alpha SV = bombproof. One design feature I'd like to add would be cinch cords for the hood for added protection. But this is for city wear so I'm more than happy with the set up. Exceeded expectations

This jacket is everything that I would expect from mountain hardwear. Extremely high quality for its intended use. Very light weight, but doesn’t sacrifice anything in the “nice to have” area (double hand pockets, waist cinch, etc.) I fully intend to buy this jacket again in the future when I’ve eventually worn mine out.

Timely delivery, item as described

I loved this jacket. Very warm and durable. My only complaint is that the neck does not fold down when unzipped, for casual wear. The neck and hood continue to stand up. Makes it a great technical piece of gear, but not great for casual wear.

Great down jacket for trail and town

Warm down to at least 20 degrees while walking dog. Can go even lower with warm fleece underneath. Form fitting, not bulky, low profile hood. Kingfisher dark blue color my favorite. 5 foot 10 inches, 175 pounds, ordered a large.

Puffy with a hood!

I have owned many down jackets over the years, but this is the first time I have tried one with a hood. I love it as a true top layer jacket and the hood is so cozy I find myself pulling it up to enjoy the quietness and warmth more than I ever pull up a hood on a rain jacket or parka for example. Because of the down there is not the over heating issue, just super cozy factor. The entire jacket is well built, super warm, good stitching, good pockets and all in all an outstanding piece of gear. Very Happy!

Had to return, tight around the waist

The jacket was well made and felt very warm. It was a quality jacket. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it "just fit" around my belly and waist. The jacket is tapered, I am 5'8" and 190 lbs and it did not give me enough breathing room. (I ordered large) I decided not to order XL because the sleeves will be too long. Overall a very stylish jacket that is well made.

Men's Thorium AR Hoody parka

Great quality, looks great, does not feel or look like you are wearing a puffy down jacket. I had tried on the M size at a store and found it too small. I am normally a 38-40 jacket size, and the store did not have a L in stock. So I ordered the L from Campsaver and it fits perfectly. Order arrived without delay.

Perfect jacket!

This jacket pretty much goes with me everywhere when it is cold out. It isn't the highest quality down so it doesnt compress as much as there cerium model but it is really nice. The fabric seems to be fairly burly and holds up against abrasion and wear. The fit is really nice and the length works great for me.

Great coat, warm and comfortable

Feel like I've been through the ringer this winter trying to find the right jacket. Tried the Black Diamond Vision Parka, Rab Verglas, Montane Antifreeze, and Patagonia Topley. They all had their pros and cons, but the Thorium AR Hoody wins out (for me) across the board.
