I am a short distance runner on road and treadmill. I have bunions, high arches and typically run tight in my caves. I typically run anywhere from 6-9 miles in a week. I am a heel striker when I run and I am not interested in trying to change my running style, I wanted a shoe to work with my pattern. I had an older version of a different style Asics and they were good, but I started getting hamstring cramping from the stride I had to take in the shoes. I switched up to these Asics and I LOVE them. I am actually on this site to buy another pair of them for when my current pair become worn out. They have a higher rounded heel than the other Asics and than Hokas that allow a heel striker to make initial contact and feel like you a striking midfoot. You just roll over the heel and it is soft and cushiony while still being supportive. They also have a wide toe box that doesn't cramp your toes. I cannot say how much my feet and I LOVE this shoe.
