Purchased these boots to reintroduce myself to hiking after a 40 year absence. With the current Covid-19 issues hiking alone makes perfect sense to me. I started with an old pair of Merrell Castle Rock boots which were fine, but decided that I would need a new pair of boots because of my age and distance I was hiking. I had heard about the Asolo brand and came upon the Campsaver website. I read the reviews on the Falcon and with the great price decided to make the purchase. They were shipped for free and arrived on time. I took a seven mile day hike and discovered the following; super light weight, no break in necessary, very supportive , provides a great grip on wet surfaces, plus highly waterproof with goretex.
