Not a good pair of shoes
I bought these prior to a volcano climb in Guatemala earlier this year and these are the worst pair of Asolos I have ever owned. They do not provide a stable footbed - the aft portion of the shoe is far narrower than they should be and they are very easy shoes to turn an ankle. They could barely handle the cobblestone streets of Antigua let alone the volcanic ash trail near the summit of Acatenango. Also, the cloth sides on the outside of both shoes ripped in a briar patch in Tennessee a coupe of months later. The shoes are fine for going out to dinner or walking in a park, but you do not want to wear these while hiking over a rock garden with a loaded pack. One of Asolo’s worst shoes ever.
Pros:
- They look nice.
Cons:
- unstable footbed due to width
- not made for rugged use
- cheap cloth material used for aesthetic reasons and not function
Best Used for:
- Mall walking
