This is my 3rd pair of these boots. I have always been happy with the durability and breathability of these non-GoreTex leather boots. The fit is just right for my foot with regular width and medium arches. With proper cleaning and water repellent treatment I get between 4 and 5 years before I have worn the soles down and the leather is still in good shape. My use includes 3 weeks of heavy backpacking, a few months of training hikes, year-round light hiking and about 5 months of daily wear each year.
