Faster tracking speed than the original tracker. Super easy to use. Best tracker for the price (in my opinion) if you can get it on sale. Makes finding your buddy who was buried in the Avalanche the easy part of the rescue.

The Tracker2, just like the original Tracker, is adequate for the occasional user. It's simple to use, but I thought the addition of a 3rd antenna would make it work better. Unfortunately, in comparing it with several other beacons (Pieps DSP Sport and Mammut Barryvox), it seemed much slower and had more difficulties at times depending on the orientation of the beacons. Also, it is not easy to use in multiple burial situations. Even after pushing the SP button to ignore the found beacon it kept alternating between that beacon and the next one. Also, it's big and clunky which I knew when I ordered it. Bottom line, I returned it and kept the Pieps DSP Sport which I had just gotten and thought I'd return because it was missing a Revert function.

The tracker2 is the perfect beacon for users that want simplicity and speed. I let a first time user practice with it in a mock avalanche and they were able to find the dummy beacon as fast as they could walk. Accurate to tenth of a meter. Remember, no beacon replaces the need to take an avalanche course.

You put someone's life in your hands with a transceiver. So buy a good one! This is a good one.
