Collapses nicely or collapsing shaft/handle can be removed. A little jiggle, but well within reason. The aluminum is plenty thick, shovel seam is welded solidly. Great value.

Great snowmobiling shovel

Although I haven't had to use this shovel, it is exactly what I was looking for. I needed something compact for my snowmobile pack. This has the telescoping handle. It is not round or square, it is oval. This helps with the alignment of the expansion slots. It seems as durable as the ortovox shovels I have seen. It fits nicely in my Klim nacpack and was a great price.
