Backpackers Pantry Chili Mac with Beef - 2 Servings

This is probably one of the best flavors out there for camp food. Even though at first sight of prepping, you realize it looks worse than the wet dog food. =P The flavor and taste is amazing! My wife and I love it.
Trekked to the Base Camp of Torres of Torres del Paine, Chile last month, easy prepared with boiled water for a tasteful dinner, but definately not enough for 2 persons to share as marked; 1 dinner for 1 person only.
The liquid portion of the meal certainly has a chili flavor, but it doesn't really stick to the noodles. They can be a little bland. The texture of the beef and noodles was a a little slimy. I would certainly eat this up depending on how hungry I am, but it might not be my first choice.
I wouldn't recommend this particular freeze dried dinner, by far my least favorite of the backpackers pantry line up... I would go with something else... This the one thing BP has let me down with.

Chili Mac with Beef should taste like chili. This did not, it failed to meet my expectations for a tasteful meal away from home. It tasted like wet noodles with bits of meat.

If it was the only food I had on a trip, then I would eat it. If I had time to plan and prepare my meal, this wouldn't be one of them. It lacked consistancy and flovor.

The macaroni didn't quite cook through, so it will definitely need to cook longer. The flavor was very fake, and I don't think it would be very appetizing on a hike. Not very good.
