I have been eyeballing the BA Copper Spur HV UL3 Tent for the past few years and finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale. I haven't take it out yet, but opened it at home and am happy with it so far. Set up is very easy and the gear pockets are a nice bonus. Size is a little smaller than my Alps Mountaineering Aries 3, but it's about 2.5 pounds lighter, and packs much smaller. Fabric is thin, but seems stretchy and durable. Excited to get this out on the trails!

This is the first tent I've purchased in 20 years, and the differences are incredible. I needed more space to accommodate 2 kids joining me now; this fits the bill perfectly. Fully packed, this tent weighs about the same as my one-person TNF Canyonlands from 1999! The thin material does make me wonder if this one will last as long, but I've always cared for my stuff pretty well. Time will tell. Big pluses for the color coding, lightweight and resilient poles, easy zippers, and pockets galore.

I chose the 3 person model for my wife and I to use the significantly greater room for comfort and enjoyment. The 3 person model weighs only a couple of ounces more than the 2 person. The tent shape is exceptionally well designed for space, double doors, substantial storage inside the tent, thoughtful features, build quality, make this best overall tent available.

We are a couple that want a tent with a bit of breathing space. That will share the weight of such a tent. That like the small touches that make it a quality tent - 2 way zippers, decent venting, clips that are easy to manage when your hands are cold, color coded poles/clips so there’s no guesswork when it’s pouring it down, a tent you can really sit up in, storage for organizing the chaos, a color that blends with the landscape and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb - thoughtful touches.
We stopped looking at so-called 2-person tents which must be made for garden gnomes and concentrated on 3-person tents. The Copper Spur UL3 was the best of the lot and we even chose a year old one for the more substantial pegs. New isn’t always better, or more durable. It’s just new. And new still needs to prove itself.
So far just a few nights out and it’s all we wanted. In a couple weeks we’ll have a 2-week backpacking trip across Scotland which we think will be the true test. But, since it’s our 3rd Big Agnes, we probably won’t be disappointed!
Cons:
- Maybe a tad heavy for some
Best Used for:
- Backpacking for 2 with their furry friend

I just got back from windrivers and used the then for 5 days. We just had two people for the three person tent and it worked great. It rained on us one night and we had no issues. I would recommend that you install all the stakes on the fly. Condensation is an issue with the temperatures we experienced in the Winds. The tent is very light weight and easy to set up. I especially like canopy that can be made over the doors by using trekking poles. There are multiple gear pockets on the inside of the tent which is great because of stuff I like to have next to me at night. I would hold off buying a gear hammock until you have spent a couple of nights in the tent.
Pros:
- Light weight
- Easy to set up
- two doors
- Very well designed
Best Used for:
- light weight backpacking
- multiple nights

I was looking a tent for 2 adults with my dog.
This is right one. It is not spacious like REI 3p tent.
but out of market, it is one for investment.
double wall, ultralight, 3p, sturdy material, lots of pocket.
But the pain is you need to pay another 80 bucks for footprint.
Cons:
- Price
- not included footprint
