Roomy and comfortable

by KarlosJ83, Gear Expert from UT, United States Written on September 10, 2011
I have yet to test the bag in cold weather but my initial impressions are that the bag is very roomy, particularly in the shoulder area (I am 6'2" with broad shoulders and athletic build). Also, the pocket to fit in the sleep pad is great. I use a thermarest inflatable and also can fit in a open cell foam pad at the same time for extra comfort and insulation.
Most Helpful Positive Review Farwell 0 Bag
I live and hunt in Alaska. I had my reservations about this bag and all bags with NO insulation on the bottom. Turns out with a sleeping pad it is no big deal. For teh one reviewer that didn't know, there was no insulation on the bottom, that is your fault for not doing your homework. You can find i...

Most Helpful Negative Review No insulation on bottom
Maybe its common knowledge that when a sleeping bag has a sleeping pad insert, that means there is no insulation on the bottom of the bag. I didn't know this, and that pretty much limits the bag to only being used with a sleeping pad only. I tried the bag out in my living room to see if I could hand...

by Anthony, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 30, 2020
Ive used this bag extensively in the Sierra with a proper air mattress pad as RECOMMENDED and fully described
in the product descriptions. So the negative reviews on folks stating its got no bottom and its too cold are well NUTS.
Folks cannot read prior to buying? wow.
Pros:
  • LIte and comfortable, lots of room
Cons:
  • You need a mattress that fits.
Best Used for:
  • Spring and Summer

Big Agnes Farewell long.

by LRR, from NM, United States Written on September 14, 2017
I was a little worried because of some of the bad reviews of campsaver but I couldn't find any price even close. Bag was exactly as represented transaction was smooth. Shipping was quick and I will definitely use them again. I'm 6'and 220 and I hate mummy bags because I move around a lot. This bag is very roomy and I am willing to pack the slight extra weight in order to have a zero deg bag that doesn't make me feel like I'm in a straight jacket. I haven't got to use the bag yet but expect it will work great.

I am delighted to have found a synthetic bag that does not abuse birds in the making, is easy to clean, light to carry, and toasty as can be. Love my bag!

Good improvements

by Brian t., from OH, United States Written on April 6, 2015
I had the previous model and chose the new model because I didn't want the long. Still a great bag only better with a zipper that is easier to open and close.

Best Bag I Have Ever Owned

by Gravenstein23, from CA, United States Written on May 31, 2012
This bag is great for a synthetic bag. I am 6' and 200 lb. I love the fact it is big enough to roll on your side but still small and light enough to fit into my Osprey Argon 85. It is great as a 3 season but still warm enough for me as a 4 season wearing just a set of thermals.

Big Agnes Farwell Sleeping Bag

by Canoe Mom, from MN, United States Written on April 13, 2009
The bags are well constructed. They zip together easily when you match left and right zipper. I am well pleased with my purchase. When used with the accompanying insulated Big Agnes pads it feels as though you're sleeping in your own bed at home.
