CSJ's Review of Big Agnes King Solomon 15 Double Bag -600 DownTek-
The description says "Sleeping Bag", which this is not -- it's a quilt. There is no fill on the bottom at all (commonly known as a "quilt").
The description reads that the sleeves on the back can accommodate various sized sleeping pads. This is also misleading. Our sleeping pads are 25" wide by about 1" high. The sleeve on the back can take up to around 40", so small pads only.
Furthermore, the material on the back is extraordinarily thin. I can imagine that this will tear or wear out very, very soon, especially given that the sleeping pads will go on the inside.
Finally, this is a tiny double bag. I'm 6', 200lbs. If my wife weren't tiny, we'd never fit in here. A thin couple "Spooning" might be alright, but no standard-sized American couples are going to fit. Conversely, a 250lbs. man would fit nicely.
Huge disappointment for an over-priced blanket with zippers.
