BEST sleeping bag for couples
First of all, the advantage of a double sleeping bag over single in cold weather is obvious (BODY HEAT!!). Second of all, any 20" wide sleeping pad will slip into the sleeves (we use exped inflatable down). We have used this bag year round this year, the latest trip in 30 degree weather at Yosemite....

not for cold weather
all i can say is i am so thankful we brought emergency blankets on this trip with us. the king solomon is very comfortable and roomy, but definitely not a 15 degree bag, more like a 50 degree bag. my boyfriend is a very hot blooded animal when he sleeps too, but is not hot enough to keep us comforta...

Misleading description on this site
First, calling this item a "sleeping bag" is misnomer. BA calls it a "System bag" and many hikers call this type of bag a "quilt". There is absolutely no fill in the bottom half; only fabric. This website didn't clarify that point, and I was quite ticked off when I opened the box.
To clarify, you absolutely MUST use sleeping pads with this "system bag", or you will be sleeping on the ground. The sleeve on the back can hold two 20x72" sleeping pads or, if you can find one, a 40x72. Big Agnes seems to have 1 in that large size, but so far, I've not found any other companies that have them.
Next...there's no way that this is a 15F bag. 40F is comfortable, but freezing? Below freezing?! Ludicrous! After receiving this item, I started looking online for opinions about Big Agnes temp. ratings on forums -- as opposed to pages like this that actually sell gear. Apparently, Big Agnes is well known for overstating their temp. ratings by about 15 degrees. Who knew?
Next, you have to be really tender when using the zipper on this thing. The material is exceptionally soft and gets caught in the zipper very easily. This isn't a Coleman product that you can be rough with.
Also, the bag is pretty small. I'm 6' and 210lbs. My wife is 100lbs. We fit, okay, but I can't imagine 2 average sized Americans fitting in this. This is made for dainty couples or camping gear models. The bag covers my shoulders, but my feet are at the bottom of the bag. If you are over 6 feet, look for a different ba...

This is a QUILT not a SLEEPING BAG
The description says "Sleeping Bag", which this is not -- it's a quilt. There is no fill on the bottom at all (commonly known as a "quilt").
The description reads that the sleeves on the back can accommodate various sized sleeping pads. This is also misleading. Our sleeping pads are 25" wide by about 1" high. The sleeve on the back can take up to around 40", so small pads only.
Furthermore, the material on the back is extraordinarily thin. I can imagine that this will tear or wear out very, very soon, especially given that the sleeping pads will go on the inside.
Finally, this is a tiny double bag. I'm 6', 200lbs. If my wife weren't tiny, we'd never fit in here. A thin couple "Spooning" might be alright, but no standard-sized American couples are going to fit. Conversely, a 250lbs. man would fit nicely.
Huge disappointment for an over-priced blanket with zippers.

What a purchase!
One of the best camping purchases we have ever made! I am absolutely blown away by this bag, and my partner (who is 6'2") loves it as well, especially that he can fit in it from head to toe!
We have only used this bag once so far, and took it out camping in Southern Ontario in March of this year, when there was still snow on the ground and ice on the trees. It dipped to about -7C (19F) at night and I was toasty warm. We used Thermarest pads (R4.9) and some good ol' blue foam under that in our 3 season tent. For added reassurance we wore two layers of clothes to bed (merino wool and fleece) and used a thin bag liner under the quilt- there are even liner loops in the bag, which helped to prevent any cover stealing that may have happened otherwise.
There is a ton of loft and the bag is probably about the size of a double bed in width- but lays out flat (almost tightly) when the sleeping pads are slid in the sleeves. No chance of rolling off your pad though, which is amazing! I toss and turn at night and this was a great bag that allowed me to do so without getting cold. The only time I did get cold was when my partner got up in the night, and his side of the bag filled with cold air upon exiting. We forgot to properly vent our tent on the first night and woke up with condensation all over our bag- but the waterproof fabric and the DownTek held strong and there was no loss of loft or warmth.
The only down side to this bag is the lack of any real insulation underneath you. We h...

Bag for two
We have used tha bag quite a few times and generally am favorable. The main problem is that the temperature rating is bogus. We slept in it one night in the upper twenties and it did not perform as expected. We actually bought a cheap fleece blanket to keep warm the next night. It is big enough for both my wife and myself. It is nice to have her to cuddle with when it is bit chilly. I would

Great and roomy bag
Temperature rating is overly optimistic (as usual with sleeping bags).

Won't go back to being single
My husband and I took this from Ohio to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska (and back) this summer on an 11,000+ mile motorcycle journey. We camped almost every night. Along with other adventure riders, we were impressed with how roomy it was, how easily the bag was set up and how warm it kept us. (BTW-'m 5'7 and he's 6 ft.) We did find that the material stuck to us & air got in through the gaps near our heads (e

GREAT PURCHASE!
we loved this bag, plenty of room (I am 6'2" 220 lbs), plenty warm (on the ocean ~40 degrees), also purchased the Big Agnes compression system which allows the bag to be compressed to a small size for the pack, purchased 2 Exped 9 Down mats for to complete the "sleep system" which makes it absolutely heavenly to sleep in!!

She's a Big One!!!
This is a great bag. When I'm not doing the minimalist trips this is the bag to have for the ones that like a lot of sleeping room. I haven't use it with my wife yet but theres no doubt we can both fit in it. I've used my 10" compression sack with it and I can get it down to 10"x16", not bad for a large bag like this. I love the sleave for the sleeping pads, this is a great idea to keep you on the
