I've always just used tarp for footprints. It's cheap & durable. This one was on sale though & it matched a tent I recently acquired so I figured I give it a shot. It seems like the material would be a lot easier than tarp for something sharp to poke through. But if you're very careful about preparing the site before setting up the tent you shouldn't have to worry about that. You could miss someth
